Synopsis

Today, I learned about Curriculum evaluation is concerned It focuses on collecting information about different aspects of a language program in order to understand how the program works^ and how successfully it works, enabling different kinds of decisions to be made about the program, such as whether the program responds to learners' needs, whether further teacher training is required for teachers working in the program, on whether students are learning sufficiently from it.

Curriculum evaluation is concerned It focuses on collecting information about different aspects of a language program in order to understand how the program works and how successfully it works. Curriculum evaluation has become of increasing interest to educators and curriculum planners. Funding for national curriculum projects in many parts of the world was often linked to a requirement to provide evaluation reports that demonstrated accountability, that helped guide improvement of ongoing projects, and that documented what happened in curriculum projects.

Development-oriented evaluation, by contrast, is designed to improve the quality of a program as it is being implemented. It may involve staff who are involved in the program as well as others who are not and may have a teacher-development focus The different purposes for evaluation are referred to us formative, illuminative, and summative evaluation.

Reflection

The realization of quality education requires continuous efforts to always improve the quality of education. Efforts to improve the quality of education require efforts to improve the quality of learning (instructional quality) because the estuary of various educational programs is the implementation of quality learning programs. Efforts to improve the quality of education will not be achieved without improving the quality of learning. In the learning process, there are many factors that determine the success of learning that takes place according to the expected plan, in addition to the availability of facilities and infrastructure, methods, and the teacher's factor is very decisive in the smooth running of learning.

Therefore, as a teacher in the future, before carrying out learning activities the teacher makes a lesson plan (RPP) which functions as a scenario or teacher guide in teaching. Evaluation is an activity to find out whether an activity is successful or not. In education, evaluation is carried out in the managerial aspect, namely the implementation of learning designs prepared by the teacher which is an evaluation of the quality of the learning process and in the substantive aspect which is an assessment of student learning outcomes. Thus, teachers have a big role in improving the quality of education through evaluation activities
